Frequently asked questions
Everything on the homepage, plus the detail-level questions that didn't fit there.
The product
Does Thryever tell me whether a supplement works?
No, not in general. It only ever shows what your own days looked like: days you logged a supplement as taken, compared against days you skipped it, against your own check-in scores.
What does the correlation actually mean?
It's a personal observation from your self-reported data over 14+ days, with a sample size shown alongside it. It is not a controlled experiment and isn't presented as proof that a supplement caused anything.
What if I take everything consistently and never skip?
Then there aren't enough contrasting days to compare, and Thryever tells you that directly: the data isn't sufficient yet to make a useful comparison, rather than showing you a pattern that isn't really there.
What happens if my supplement isn't in the scanner database?
The app drops you straight into manual entry with whatever it did resolve (usually at least a brand name) pre-filled. Manual entry is built to be just as fast as scanning, not a fallback bolted on as an afterthought.
Does the Stack Completeness score check for interactions?
No, on purpose. It compares your logged doses against typical reference ranges and your own quiz-flagged goals, nothing beyond what your data and public reference ranges support. Thryever measures and reflects; it doesn't diagnose or treat.
Pricing and access
Is scanning really free?
Yes, unlimited, no subscription, no cap on active supplements tracked on the free tier.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. The app works anonymously from the first screen; your data stays on-device until you optionally create an account to keep it if you switch phones.
Data and privacy
Is my data private?
Yes. Nothing you log is sold or aggregated. Revenue comes from Pro subscriptions and disclosed iHerb affiliate links, which never change what's recommended.
Does this diagnose me with anything?
No. Personal correlations and general nutrient suggestions from your own data and quiz answers, not medical advice, not a replacement for your doctor.
